Guerrilla Painter Palette Extension Kit for the Medium French Resistance Pochade
Was difficult to attack correctly, but works good. Box bounces on camera tripod a little. Put plastic box for holding water on them, but when the cups were first empty the wind blow them off. Have not tried the brush holding rack part just yet. Small palette designed for this box fits into the box. I will think of some more uses for it. I put in on the left side instead of the right side that it shown on the picture, because I am left handed. Guerrilla Painter 5 by 7 Pocket Box
Fantastic size. It is perfect for my watercolor setup. The size limits how much I take out with me, which is helpful. There is just enough space to fit 4 travel brushes, 2 fountain pens, a pencil, and 2 Pitt pens, a 6" ruler, a folding water reservoir, 2 small tins of watercolors, and a small Moleskine watercolor journal. I do wish the lid was complete without the open slot on the front. My larger Gorrilla boxes do not have this feature, so I was surprised and at first very disappointed upon seeing it. The opening is made to hold wet canvases, which I don't use as a watercolorist. However, it has not proved to be a problem thus far. The leather closure strap holds the journal in place. All small items must be kept in the storage space below. I covered the thumb hole with heavy paper, sized to fit the box, so nothing can fall out. Overall, it is the best box I have found to fit my particular needs and wants. It fits perfectly in my Timbuktu messenger bag.
If you are interested in painting on 5x7" canvas boards, this model is perfect. You can fit 3 of them in the box, and two of them can even be wet when you close it up! I usually paint on card stock instead, and just slip a few blanks in between my canvas boards. Under the sliding palette I fit: a couple pencils & sharpener, 12 small tubes of acrylic, a few small brushes, a small painting knife, and a small cloth.
I haven't tried using the thumb hole or the tripod screws on the bottom. I mainly use this box to paint in a cafe or fast food restaurant, and just set it down on the table. The whole thing is small enough that I don't feel outrageously conspicuous in such situations.
The only complaint I have about the physical product itself is that the lid can't be tightened firmly enough to hold it open at fixed angle. This surprised me, since the lid is intended to act as an easel and has a somewhat involved mechanism hold it open. Most of them time, I end up not using the back as an easel and just put my canvas or card stock flat on the table.

This little box is great for travel. I have several pochade boxes, but none of them are self-contained like this one. Usually I have to carry a separate tote for paints and brushes, always feeling like I'm toting a ton of gear. For this box, I bought some water miscible oil paints so I don't have to carry solvents, some short-handled brushes, and a small mighty-mite brush washer. They all fit easily inside the box. It holds two 5x7 inch canvas panels. Although it can be fastened to a tripod, I'd prefer less equipment and instead sit it on my lap or on a table. I got this as a gift and I have really enjoyed using it. I like to travel light and while I have a small pochade box by Artwork Essentials (which is wonderful), this one can carry wet canvases and paint, brushes, pencil and small turp right under the lid. I use it on my lap and put a heavy piece of paper on the bottom of the box to keep things from falling out as there is a hole for a tripod mount which would defeat my purpose of small and fully portable in a bag. I added the extension palette which easily screws onto the right side of the box. I like having an extension palette as I can keep my brushes on that (there are holes to fit the handles in) and I when I clean my palette I put the extra paint there for a mix of good greys. I can also clip a medium cup to the extension which can not be done on the main part of the palette. I highly recommend getting this, however with the extension palette I can only keep one wet painting in the lid as the palette takes up the extra space that a second painting might take. The whole thing is very lightweight. The painting panel sits in landscape mode, but if I want to paint vertically I use clips to hold the painting in place and that seems to work fine. This set is basically a starter set for students or adults who wants to begin painting with oil paint. The good thing about this oil paint is that it is very affortable, which means you can practise and practise painting without feeling you wasting alot of money. The set has a nice range of colours, paints smoothly and colours are vibrant. You can create good texture with this oil paint by using the dabbing effect, Al Prima effect or scrumbling effect. Out of those 3 I like the scrumbling effect the best because I like to experiment with my art work. The scrumbling effect is painting a fairly thick application of color, then removing the paint with a rag, brush or sponge. I have created some interested pieces using this technique. I would recommend this set for anybody who want to created great artwork.

I picked these brushes up from Michael's for $4.99 a great price for all the brushes. I highly recommend being very extra thorough in cleaning the brushes prior to first use as after a casual cleaning to get the starching agent out, the brushes lost quite a few hairs on the first use. This problem has since resolved itself and while they're not my favourite brushes by any means, they are decent. Great for a beginner or someone who just wants to play around. :)

Found this set in a craft store for a bit cheaper, in addition to the fact that I've used them twice and they're already falling apart. Acrylics are hard on brushes but this is ridiculous. The "LOBO" Easel
I purchased this easel for a small studio space that I'm building. It delivered on time and was well packaged. The easel was in excellent condition. Assembly instructions have something to be desired, and I would certaining suggest that the company spend a little more time in this department. Once assembled, (took about 20 minutes), I was pleased that the easel was a solid piece of studio furniture. Mine is sitting on a heavy canvas tarp on carpet, and it is very stable on this rather springy surface. The easel design is nice allowing the canvas space to move in just about whatever angle you need to have a comfortable painting experience. I especially like that it lays flat so if I wanted to, I could use it as a table when sketching my work onto canvas. This is the perfect easel for the space I have it in.

got it as a gift for someone just starting to paint seems to be of good quality and they loved it! the only thing that i didn't like or expect was that the included canvas is not blank. it has a pre-made design and you fill it in with colors. I, as well as the recipient, would have preferred a blank canvas.
