You must have the bottom end of the easel off the table. Also, the drawer opens to the back, not the side as shown, which is not convenient at all. It's large enough to hold basic colors and smaller brushes. I am not using the palet inside since it seems absorbant and is a dark color. I prefer to mix colors on white since I paint on white canvas.

Jack Richeson Lyptus Dulce Easel easel

I have used this easel for years in one of my two painting stations. Overall for the money it is a great little easel. It does have it's issues, but with a little help you can take this very inexpensive easel and make it great.

The good point is you can turn it into a weighted H easel very easily, by adding two large eye screws under the horizonal H on the frame and attaching them to the back of the canvas tray. You can than add a heavy line

with a barbell weight and have a easel that the canvas tray moves up and down. Otherwise the canvas tray and screw knob of the original design doesn't support large paintings, and falls with the weight.

I paint portraits and large canvases so that solved that problem.

The other issue is the holder at the top did not hold my canvases and after have a few large paintings fell off I started using those tiny bungies cords to wrap around the center mast and though the support crossbar

of my canvas. Another problem solved... you can now easily move it up and down without even need the little canvas holder at the top.

I then added four casters mounting a piece of wood to both foot pieces so now i can move my easel anywhere.

If you aren't handy and you do large painting you might not be happy with this easel. But on the other hand if you are willing to do some simple modifications you get a much better easel with a more compact size

that can do it all!

All for about $400 to $500.00 less than another easel that can do the same thing. I also use this to take to shows because it is much smaller than my other studio easel.

If this is a knock off of a more costly easel it is an excellent one. Contrary to the description, it came about 85-90% assembled. Basically, two screws for the supports and then you easily attach the upper and lower trays. Also, 4 simple foot protectors screw in the bottom. It took about 15 minutes. It is a sturdy, medium sized H frame easel. And the reddish tones are sweet to look at. Honestly, I like the coloring better than the original oak that costs way more. I have a canvas on it already!

Bob Ross Travel Easel

This is a handy light weight yet sturdy tabletop easel. I take it to my classes & use at home. Easy to use, stretch cord holds the canvas tightly. I set it on a rubbermaid type mat to keep from sliding. The stretch cord was frayed when I got it though but was able to fix the problem. I really like this easel.

I love these brushes for little jobs around the house. In the past, I would try to find thick, fairly stiff-bristled brushes of this size in the arts & crafts stores or at the hardware store...never successfully. These brushes are very durable, just the right size for little touch-up jobs, and inexpensive enough (under a dollar each) that if you use an oil-based paint or glue, you can throw them away instead of worrying about cleaning them (although they are so nice, it's hard to do). They are perfect for detailed painting next to window panes or difficult to remove hardware. They work well for trying to get glue into cracks or hard-to-reach areas. So far, after multiple uses, the bristles are staying in nicely, and are fine enough that they don't leave brush marks. And the wooden handles are so beautiful, I actually like holding them.
