McCall's Patterns M2506 18-Inch Doll Clothes and Dog, One Size Only

McCall's Patterns M2506 18-Inch Doll Clothes and Dog, One Size OnlyIt work just fine for what i needed. Boy clothes in pattern form are hard to fine and this pattern fits the bill.

Much better than paying #20.00 for one outfit. The pattern is easy to follow. I've made almost all of the outfits.

Guerrilla Painter 5 by 7 Pocket Box

Guerrilla Painter 5 by 7 Pocket BoxFantastic size. It is perfect for my watercolor setup. The size limits how much I take out with me, which is helpful. There is just enough space to fit 4 travel brushes, 2 fountain pens, a pencil, and 2 Pitt pens, a 6" ruler, a folding water reservoir, 2 small tins of watercolors, and a small Moleskine watercolor journal. I do wish the lid was complete without the open slot on the front. My larger Gorrilla boxes do not have this feature, so I was surprised and at first very disappointed upon seeing it. The opening is made to hold wet canvases, which I don't use as a watercolorist. However, it has not proved to be a problem thus far. The leather closure strap holds the journal in place. All small items must be kept in the storage space below. I covered the thumb hole with heavy paper, sized to fit the box, so nothing can fall out. Overall, it is the best box I have found to fit my particular needs and wants. It fits perfectly in my Timbuktu messenger bag.

Personally, I think this is a bit overpriced for something you might replace with a simple cigar box. But that being said, it's really inspired me to paint quite a bit more, so I've definitely gotten value out of it. And there are some clever features such as the sliding palette and the brackets to hold canvas boards.

If you are interested in painting on 5x7" canvas boards, this model is perfect. You can fit 3 of them in the box, and two of them can even be wet when you close it up! I usually paint on card stock instead, and just slip a few blanks in between my canvas boards. Under the sliding palette I fit: a couple pencils & sharpener, 12 small tubes of acrylic, a few small brushes, a small painting knife, and a small cloth.

I haven't tried using the thumb hole or the tripod screws on the bottom. I mainly use this box to paint in a cafe or fast food restaurant, and just set it down on the table. The whole thing is small enough that I don't feel outrageously conspicuous in such situations.

The only complaint I have about the physical product itself is that the lid can't be tightened firmly enough to hold it open at fixed angle. This surprised me, since the lid is intended to act as an easel and has a somewhat involved mechanism hold it open. Most of them time, I end up not using the back as an easel and just put my canvas or card stock flat on the table.

This little box is great for travel. I have several pochade boxes, but none of them are self-contained like this one. Usually I have to carry a separate tote for paints and brushes, always feeling like I'm toting a ton of gear. For this box, I bought some water miscible oil paints so I don't have to carry solvents, some short-handled brushes, and a small mighty-mite brush washer. They all fit easily inside the box. It holds two 5x7 inch canvas panels. Although it can be fastened to a tripod, I'd prefer less equipment and instead sit it on my lap or on a table. I bought the carrying case and the whole setup is light enough that I can hike or ride my bicycle without feeling weighed down with equipment.

I got this as a gift and I have really enjoyed using it. I like to travel light and while I have a small pochade box by Artwork Essentials (which is wonderful), this one can carry wet canvases and paint, brushes, pencil and small turp right under the lid. I use it on my lap and put a heavy piece of paper on the bottom of the box to keep things from falling out as there is a hole for a tripod mount which would defeat my purpose of small and fully portable in a bag. I added the extension palette which easily screws onto the right side of the box. I like having an extension palette as I can keep my brushes on that (there are holes to fit the handles in) and I when I clean my palette I put the extra paint there for a mix of good greys. I can also clip a medium cup to the extension which can not be done on the main part of the palette. I highly recommend getting this, however with the extension palette I can only keep one wet painting in the lid as the palette takes up the extra space that a second painting might take. The whole thing is very lightweight. The painting panel sits in landscape mode, but if I want to paint vertically I use clips to hold the painting in place and that seems to work fine. I keep some in the box along with short handled brushes, paint and pencil.

This little pochade box is ideal. After looking for years, I have at last found one with a thumb hole in the base. Lightweight

Guerrilla Painter Backpacker 6 by 8 Covered Palette Tray

Guerrilla Painter Backpacker 6 by 8 Covered Palette TrayMy Guerilla 6 x 8 came yesterday. The actual inside usable space is 4.5 x 6.5 inches, but still perfect for a take-along palette.

Pro: Glossy plastic -looks like it will be easy to clean. Small -easy to take with you. Very tight cover that will keep paints moist. Very lightweight -can hold with two fingers. Inexpensive.

Con: It is nearly impossible to open. You need to use a palette knife or some thin object to pry between the cover and base in order to open it. Perhaps this will get easier with use. On the other hand, the very tight closure is probably what keeps the paints nice and moist.

Overall, it looks like a fine addition to my painting arsenal.

Art Advantage Wood Palette with 12 Brushes

Art Advantage Wood Palette with 12 Brushesyou get what you pay for. the palette is small and very inferior thin plywood. the brushes have the mange and worse. they actually disintegrate as you try to fluff the so called bristles. the hairs fall out and i haven't even dared use them with paint yet.

This is a great gift for a youngster starting out on the fun of painting. Too small really for adult use but well worth the money!

Disappointed in the quality of the brush material. Looked to be capable of holding a fine point but in use, won't do so.

I guess thats what I get for being cheap. I get poor quality brushes. These are horrible horrible horrible. The bristles are way stiff...VERY cheaply made. Painting with them is like painting with a bunch of wood splints. Was going to throw them out at the first touch to the paper but my little sister wanted them so I gave them to her instead, but I highly doubt even she will want to use them.

I think this is a good deal and if you paint like me, you like lots of brushes of all price values, shapes and sizes available when you paint. I use these cheaper brushes to apply mask when I'm doing watercolor and for any other artsie task when I'm painting that might destroy a good brush. I feel at these cheaper prices, I can save my good brushes and use one of these and if it gets destroyed, it's cheap enough to be disposable!

I don't use the palette as a palette, I intend to paint a picture on it. So between the cost of the brushes and the palette, if you take them individually, they are very reasonably priced!!

But just a word of warning...you do get what you pay for and anyone expecting high quality brushes and a perfect palette at this price is dreaming! But they do serve a purpose!

24" High Wood Table Easel Is Great for Art, Display, Painting, Holding Signs and More!

24' High Wood Table Easel Is Great for Art, Display, Painting, Holding Signs and More! The table wood easel is a good value for the money. It sets up easily, holds up well and does the job for the size display it was intended for. When taken apart it stores pretty easily.

I think for the price of this Easel it is great. The only thing I would have liked better is if the bottom had some little rubber pieces so it wouldnt slide. The hard plastic ones it has still slide a bit. But other than that it does what its supposed to for a very economic price.

out of the box it was ready to use. Couldn't of been easier. Product seems very durable. Only wish cards were a tad bigger, but otherwise, would recommend to anyone with a small crew of maybe 10 or less employees.

SONOMA SKETCHBOX ELM

SONOMA SKETCHBOX ELMGenerally, the easel is a great asset, mostly because of it's portability. Being a watercolor painter feel the need still to use my 'flat' table to paint a lot of my artwork, and still finding it difficult to use larger stock, ie. 18x24 on the easel, as it tends to bend the stock. For the price tho, no complaints and very well made.
