This is a basic white board, but instead of markers it comes with crayons. They can be easily removed from this and other white boards with the enclosed eraser cloth. The crayons make dark, rich markings on the board and on regular paper. It does not have the yucky white board eraser smell. So far, it has washed off our clothes and a blanket in the regular wash, although it is not labeled as "washable". My 2 year old son has fun with these, and it is light enough to be portable. We especially enjoyed this on a recent plane trip.
Got this for my 5 year old for a long car ride...hope its not warm..crayons got very soft with just a little bit of heat! Very messy, leaves a flakey mess that will not come off leather seats. Stick to the Dry-ease markers!!

My 2 year old got this for her birthday. She regularly colors it in from top to bottom, she loves the thing. Then she brings it to me to clean up. The included glove is better at removing the crayons from the board than a paper towel, but still makes me work up a sweat and gives me a great upper body workout. Then she colors it in again... and the process repeats. I noticed the black is almost impossible to get off, the blue is much easier. So, I hate this thing... she loves it.
Update: So, while the glove that comes with it is absolutely useless, Clorox wipes take all the crayon right off. So, we now clean it up with those. Problem solved and the kids still love this thing.

I got a set of these crayons awhile back because my daughter said that she had wanted some but I didn't think that they would be worth it. I was wrong! I am a teacher and I use them almost everyday in my classroom. They are very easy to use and they do wipe right off (sometimes if I press too hard I may have to use a little elbow grease to get the crayon off but I have never not had the crayon come off).
So I bought this for my daughter and she loved them too! She likes to pretend she is a teacher and this is a great and cheap product. Plus it helps her to practice her writing (she is 4).
I love it and would have given it 5 stars except it does leave a slight greasy residue that is hard to write over if you use anything other than the crayons (i.e. dry erase marker) and some of the colors are really light for a whole class presentation but if it is single use it is not so bad.

My daughter requested a dry erase board for CHRISTmas this year. After reviewing the numerous reviews I must say I was a little hesitant to purchase this particular product. My daughter is 8, and she loves to play school and doodle in the car..I will share both dislikes and like so you will have the pleasure of making a sound decision on this product. Dislikes.....these boards are small, almost like a 5x7 picture frame, crayons come off on hands and will come off on anything they touch, wipes to clean boards really don't do it very well...baby wipes are better, there is a black board and white-the black board is extremely hard to clean and doesn't show up very well, crayons wear down easily, no place to hand on walls or such must hold.LIKES....great for the car (considering the child is old enough not to touch anything else)If this product were bigger I think older kids would enjoy it more. I would only recommend it as a car essential for older kids in hopes they were still into hangman or tic tac toe.I recommend going to the store and looking at this product before you buy it!!

this is nice cause it holds a lot of color when painting the only down fall is it is hard to get all the paint out of the corners. So it should be clean right after use to clean up easier. is all
