I am a Bob Ross Instructor, certified by the company, and I highly recommend the Bob Ross Master Set to anyone who wants to learn the Bob Ross wet on wet technique. It gives you the tools and paint, and a 1 hour DVD. You will need to purchase an easel and canvas separately.

Pay no more than $100.00 for this set, however. If you pay more than that, you are getting scammed! Do some research (bobross.com is a great place to start) and see for yourself. If you purchased the Bob Ross Master Set at the right price, congratulations. You are on your way to painting happy trees with Bob, and you will not be disappointed.

I bought this as a gift for my mother so I haven't used the product myself, but she loves it! Also, this is much cheaper than you will find similar sets on the Bob Ross website.

What a great starter kit for anyone who wants to start oil painting. Trust me, you don't have to have any special artistic talent to discover the "Joy of Painting" using this kit. The Getting Started DVD thats included with the kit will help teach you the basic "Wet-On-Wet" technique and Bob teaches you how to paint a beautiful painting using just the materials that are included with the kit. After you do just one painting you'll be hooked and your friends and family will be astounded by your new found talent.

*Note* First time artists still need to invest in an easel, palette, canvas and a way to clean your brushes.

While Amazon is selling this set for considerably less money than the local big box art stores in my area, it is not a complete set for what you need to follow along with Bob Ross and his videos. To paint almost any of Bob's paintings (including the one on the DVD in this kit) you will also need to purchase Prussian Blue, Dark Sienna, Yellow Ochre and Indian Yellow paints. In the instructional basics part of the DVD, Bob also recommends having a #3 fan brush, #6 filbert brush, 1" round brush and a #5 painting knife, none of which are included in the beginner kit. While you could definetly get started with the tools in the kit, I am very disappointed that all of the paint colors required to paint the picture in the lesson included are not in the kit, and I have to still go out and buy them.

Mabef Universal Folding Wooden Travel Easel

Beautifully finished maple and clever neat collapsible design that operates well ultra portable lightweight. Strap however is not leather but a stapled on PVC strap.

The only complaint is that it is a ballerina and does the (quite) occassional split if you happen to have something heavy on it eg a framed painting.

This possibly would not happen when painting with a light canvass board but if you are thinking of using it as a display tripod in your living area when not in use as an easel then this may not be so suitable unless you find a way to tie the legs together to prevent them splitting.

Ideal for the outdoor field painter.

There's only one complaint about this easel. The wooden sections that hold the tablets are only about 5 inches apart. Other than that, it's portable, beautiful, sturdy, and an addition to my living room while being handy for drawing.

Pencil Easel

I received this item as a present from my brother who knows about my drawing habit. I loaded it up with my supplies and used it for a few months. I lost it and all it's supplies at an outdoor festival. I was very upset. It took me a little while to replace it but it was well worth the extra shipping. I use it every time I go drawing, and that is 3-4 times a week. It is sturdy and holds enough of my stuff to only need that and a pad of paper. A place for the pencil sharpener would be useful and the top pencil holes I use for my short stubs vs. the way the picture displays the long pencils, the case can't fold up with the long pencils.

This is super nice and was just what I was looking for. I use it for my paint brushes as I got tired of rooting through an old veggie can to find the right brush! Anyhow, what I like about this, among other things, is how it can be folded in two different manners, depending on how one loads the brushes. For example, if they are only loaded on the bottom part, the holder can be folded in a smaller, square fashion. If top and bottom are used, then it can still be folded but it's more of a rectangle when all is said and done. I was looking for a paint brush easel and this works really well for that. If you have a smaller working area, you can just load a portion of the holder and it doesn't take up as much room on the work space. If you have a larger area, it can be used as pictured. Just a really nice device for my paint brushes. I would imagine the pencils would work fine as well. I highly recommend this as the price was good too and it keeps all the brushes in one place and ready for action.

I adore this! It holds my Prismacolors snugly, but I can remove one to use WITHOUT having to "fight" the elastic the way that the Global Leather Pencil case forces me to do. Yet the elastic is snug enough to hold stubs without them dropping into the pocket and getting "lost" in it. Perfection! It must have been designed by someone who actually USES colored pencils to draw and color with! So many organizers seem to have been designed under the strange assumption that pencils don't get any shorter with use-were such designers never in elementary school?

The only drawback (if it can be termed that) is that you need a table to set it up on, meaning that it's not suited to carrying along to kill time in a doctor's waiting room. I wish Alvin made a roll-up kit with the mesh elastic pockets, or a portfolio that held more than 16 colors. Just sayin'.

If you need to carry around up to 120 pencils, brushes, tools, etc., this is the organizational tool for you. Everything is neatly stowed, pencils are easy to remove and replace and the stand folds compactly (although it is large). I also have a smaller one of these for my brushes and have used it for over a year. I am very happy with both of these stands and would recommend it to anyone who is tired of carting around boxes, tins or pouches and wants to stay organized.

We recently purchased the Pyramid TTProx Proximity Time Clock because we thought it would work with our existing proximity cards. Unfortunately, it won't work with other proximity cards so we ended up sending that unit back and going back to the drawing board.

What we were looking for was the simplest solution for both us and our employees; so, a biometric system seemed like the next best choice.

After getting this time clock up and running, these are the things we like about it:

From an employee perspective, it is extremely simple to use. Just place your fingerprint on the reader and it beeps. That's about it.

This unit is networked, and it's easy to pull the data directly from the time clock into Quick Books.

Overall, this is accurate and fast.

Unfortunately, getting the time clock up and running is an exercise in frustration. There are lots of little details that have to be right, like needing employee IDs to be in the 9000 range; but, the software automatically assigns numbers in a different range. On top of that, the process of creating an administrative user is also confusing and poorly documented.

We were able to get through the setup in a couple of hours without calling support; but, it wasn't fun.

Enrolling the first user was also a pain since it didn't really follow the instructions; but, we did figure it out and now it's pretty simple (once you know how to do it).

This is the process we go through to enter users:

1) Press F4

2) Enter the admin code

3) Press enter

4) Enter the admin code again

5) Press F4

6) Enter the user code

7) Press enter

8) Let the user scan their finger twice

As you can see, the admin code is needed to add users; but, that's also the code that lets you override punches from the time clock. I wish there were a way to use the admin fingerprint instead of having to type the code multiple times. I'm probably just paranoid. :)

Anyway, I would recommend this product since it does work well once it's configured. Just keep in mind that the initial configuration will take some pretty loose interpretation of the included instructions.
