These little plate stands are terrific. You can hardly see them in the china cabinet, and I was able to put one in front of the other to show off two plates at once, with plenty of space on the shelf for a bread plate, saucer and cup in front. Beautiful!

These plate stands are exactly what I was looking for to display some lovely old plates. Hold different sizes, and since they are clear plastic, they don't distract from the plate. Would recommend highly!

There is a reason the only pictures depicted do not show a side shot the profile of the display is 1.5 to 2 inches DEEP. For my purposes in a china cabinet they just took up tooooooooo much space.

If you want to ensure a plate stands up at the back forget it.

The person who said they are so small you can put one in front of the other?

I am not sure what they were talking about.

Perhaps for a free standing plate display on a shelf or a ledge it might be OK but as it is for what it is

they are going back.

These display stands were WAY to bulky to fit into a small China Cabinet. With a standard size china plate, the plate barely fit in height and (with the angle and depth of actual stand) there is no way that any additional items could be placed in front (so you can't even hide the plastic stand). Return process was also not pleasant. Only paid $18.00 for items with $8.00 shipping. Company wanted to charge 20% restocking fee for standswhich I do not believe was disclosed upon purchase and you have to pay return shipping. Decided the refund of $10.00 was not worth the effort. Make sure you have a deep cabinet and have no expectation of return.

Fit my needs & my plates needs exactly. These stands make plates look great holding my old plates in my china cabinet.

American Easel Oak Premier Paint Station-Golden Finish

I had to call their help desk to get this thing assembled, because the instructions neglect to mention that the picture is backward. (The bucket is on the right side, and you can put the paper towel holder on either side.) Adding to the confusion, the center mast is installed backward for shipping. You have to unscrew the knob behind it, pull it out and turn it around so that the bottom ledge for your canvas is in front.

Once we got that all sorted out, I found that the holes to attach the top half to the bottom do not line up, and the "long" screws are too short. I had to widen the holes with a drill, making it a bit less sturdy, but at least now the top is attached.

That said, the shelves are excellent for storage. The easel is not bad for me at 5'3, but would probably be even better for a taller person. The base is very sturdy and supports a fair amount of weight. It looks beautiful, and I can see it lasting for several good years.

I got this as a gift from my husband and it is perfect! The only problem we had was putting it together as the instructions were a little off and not very clear so you must be a good puzzle solver. Another thing was a piece of the wood was split but we were able to make it work as we did not want to go through the trouble of sending such a large item back. When it is finally put together it is great! I love it!

I have had mine for close to three years. Within a short time of using it I noticed that the smaller canvas's rocked into the void places and were impossible to paint on. I bought a piece of plywood to place on the easel and use with the smaller canvas's. OK that problem solved. Next problem, the angle of the easel won't stay in place. It is three knobs to adjust, a lot of work, then it jus drops back down as you paint. it will tilt so much that the canvas will fall on the floor so you have to be very careful. I have to hold with one hand and paint with the other. Not the best solution. I contacted the manufacturer and they said they were still working out the kinks. OK that does not help me at all. I would not buy from American Easel ever again. My husband bought me this as a gift and it was too much money for me to buy another. I did not buy through Amazon but wanted to warn everyone about this product.

The table top arrived damaged, so I did an exchange. That wasn't really a big deal.

Assembly did not take long. The directions are a little unclear, but it wasn't hard to figure out.

HOWEVER:

The first canvas I tried to put on it is 40 inches tall. The description claims it can hold a 48 inch tall canvas. Not even close. It definitely is a few inches less than 40.

I bought this to hold my whiteboard up, and sure it does indeed do so. However, if I apply just a little less than baby pressure, the locks that hold the white board up loosen and the whole thing falls. It happens quite a bit, but personally I've learned to be very sensitive with it.

The problem with this easel is that there is no way to lock the legs into place, so the easel is highly unstable. Maybe the legs will stay put on plush carpet, but who paints on that? On hardwood or tile floors the legs scoot out and flop flat. Tightening the wingnuts makes only a temporary difference; even the slightest pressure on the table causes the legs to collapse. I gave this product two stars (instead of 1, which it actually deserves) only because I like its general appearance and wood construction.

the price is great, the size is great and the paper is just okay. it's on the thinner side so not good for things like finger paints, water colors, etc., but our young artist prefers a pencil most the time and for that it is great. there were a time or two that a piece ripped while being used, but not often.

The paper is great for painting, markers, etc. The problem is that the sheets come off the pad seemingly by themselves, probably because of the size of the pad, which is larger than expected (but that's a good thing!). So what we do is detach one sheet and clip to my daughter's easel to use. If she wants to color, etc. we take a sheet off and put it on the table. Since the paper is so large it covers her little table almost completely and gives her more room to work with. All in all a great product!

The paper works great on both of my daughters easels. It isn't too thin and takes paint real well without tearing. It stood up to crayons well too.

muy delagadas las hojas, y venian todas sucias de la orilla, son mas economicas que las de Melissa and Doug, pero no son mejores. The papers came dirty, and they are so thin, not good for kids. Melissa and doug pad is more expensive but they are better for kids!

paper is definitely thin. but its a cheap pad to begin with. my son is 2 so he doesn't care and goes through paper fast so i'd rather not spend a lot of money
