This easel is very easy to use. Clip top for the paper pads is great and I like the telescoping legs.

The standard Topps pads suggested for this easel are about 2 inches longer than where the bottom 2 "hooks" (in the picture) attach to the 2 legs on the Easel. Not an ideal setup, because the pads don't have stiff cardboard backing either so bottom supports would be better.

The top pad retainer has only 2 pegs to grab hold of the 3-hole-punch pad and the pegs aren't quite long enough to ensure the pads don't fall down while you're flipping pages.

You'd think the manufacturer would have thought of this application and made sure the easel had longer 3-hole pegs and tested a 27x34" pad to make sure the bottom rings were placed to support the pad.

(there's also no easy way to rig up anything to hold the pads from the bottom).

The top retainer plate you see in the picture has a strong spring (good) to pinch/hold paper or materials and is made of thin aluminum. It's edges are pretty sharp though watch it.

In normal use, I'd say the retainer probably could hold a full 27x34 pad set as long as you're consciously not pulling on the pad too much while writing on it. Might still return it.

If you're giving an important presentation, it's just one more thing to think about.

Jullian Classic Half-Size French Sketch Box Easel

Just a warning to artists who have been using Julian easels since the eighties like I have, they have not kept up the same quality we loved and counted on in their sturdy landscape easels. The contemporary model does not fit together properly, legs don't fit into the sockets which are meant to hold them, fittings don't screw down tightly and the legs collapse as you try to paint, the brass clamps aren't properly shaped to hold the board to the easel in a wind...these are just a few of the difficulties I encountered before I returned mine. Too bad, Julian made a great easel.

Martin Kids Classic Dual Center Art Center

I bought the easel as a Christmas present for my daughter. She seems to be happy with it, but I am disappointed with the quality of the item. It is height adjustable as advertised, however the height only changes by an inch. This item not grow with my child. The white board, and chalk board are very poor quality. Both are very difficult to erase, and the chalk and markers leave a "ghost" of what my daughter draws. I did purchase high quality chalk, markers and an eraser. I have not tried a cleaning solution yet. The item was less expensive than other models.

We first bought an easel by CraZArt for Christmas for our daughter. Unfortunately, Santa didn't check until Dec. 24th and it was smashed to bits in the shipping process. So when I wanted to exchange it, there were none left. Plan B: I had to find a new easel. And I'm so glad I did!!! This is a BASIC easel. That is all any child needs, folks. However, the quality between this one and the one by CraZArt is a vast improvement. It is sturdy. The piece that holds the paper to the easel actually functions like it should and is not going to break. The hardware is nice. Simple. Functional. Useful.

I purchased this easel for my 6 year old son. I adjusted it to the highest height (he's 4'2") and it is just a little taller than him so it's the perfect height with some room to grow. The quality is good for the price. You get what you pay for. The chalkboard is not the best quality but if you use Expo dry erase solution/erasers for both the dry erase/chalkboard you should have no problems. I did like that the height would adjust within 6" so that it does grow with your child. My son loves it and uses it daily. It's not fancy but it gets the job done. My only complaint is that the paper roll holder is a little smaller than standard roll papers but we will make do. Other than that I think it's great for my son.

Product arrived with broken tray, due no doubt to elaborate but ineffectual packaging. Called Martin for replacement and was promised one within three days. Assembled OK without tray, but poor design makes it impossible to thread paper through bracket that holds paper down on easel. Paper roll is 15" wide, bracket 14.5". Recommend people find another product from many of this type available.

Crayola Dry Erase Board Set

This is a basic white board, but instead of markers it comes with crayons. They can be easily removed from this and other white boards with the enclosed eraser cloth. The crayons make dark, rich markings on the board and on regular paper. It does not have the yucky white board eraser smell. So far, it has washed off our clothes and a blanket in the regular wash, although it is not labeled as "washable". My 2 year old son has fun with these, and it is light enough to be portable. We especially enjoyed this on a recent plane trip.

Got this for my 5 year old for a long car ride...hope its not warm..crayons got very soft with just a little bit of heat! Very messy, leaves a flakey mess that will not come off leather seats. Stick to the Dry-ease markers!!

My 2 year old got this for her birthday. She regularly colors it in from top to bottom, she loves the thing. Then she brings it to me to clean up. The included glove is better at removing the crayons from the board than a paper towel, but still makes me work up a sweat and gives me a great upper body workout. Then she colors it in again... and the process repeats. I noticed the black is almost impossible to get off, the blue is much easier. So, I hate this thing... she loves it.

Update: So, while the glove that comes with it is absolutely useless, Clorox wipes take all the crayon right off. So, we now clean it up with those. Problem solved and the kids still love this thing.

I got a set of these crayons awhile back because my daughter said that she had wanted some but I didn't think that they would be worth it. I was wrong! I am a teacher and I use them almost everyday in my classroom. They are very easy to use and they do wipe right off (sometimes if I press too hard I may have to use a little elbow grease to get the crayon off but I have never not had the crayon come off).

So I bought this for my daughter and she loved them too! She likes to pretend she is a teacher and this is a great and cheap product. Plus it helps her to practice her writing (she is 4).

I love it and would have given it 5 stars except it does leave a slight greasy residue that is hard to write over if you use anything other than the crayons (i.e. dry erase marker) and some of the colors are really light for a whole class presentation but if it is single use it is not so bad.

My daughter requested a dry erase board for CHRISTmas this year. After reviewing the numerous reviews I must say I was a little hesitant to purchase this particular product. My daughter is 8, and she loves to play school and doodle in the car..I will share both dislikes and like so you will have the pleasure of making a sound decision on this product. Dislikes.....these boards are small, almost like a 5x7 picture frame, crayons come off on hands and will come off on anything they touch, wipes to clean boards really don't do it very well...baby wipes are better, there is a black board and white-the black board is extremely hard to clean and doesn't show up very well, crayons wear down easily, no place to hand on walls or such must hold.LIKES....great for the car (considering the child is old enough not to touch anything else)If this product were bigger I think older kids would enjoy it more. I would only recommend it as a car essential for older kids in hopes they were still into hangman or tic tac toe.I recommend going to the store and looking at this product before you buy it!!
