The piece of equipment is wonderful but it was not what I expected. It is very small and over priced for its size. If you are doing hobby work, then its use is fine but if you are a practicing professional, this item is a novelty rather than a necessity.
Art Advantage Right Hand Mannequin
In my opinion, all hand mannequins with the typical two joint thumb are largely useless. With out the joint where the thumb meets the wrist, you end up with an ornamental decoration rather than a useful art tool. If you just want something artsy to put on a shelf to class up your pad or studio, this works great. It is made of nice clear grained wood and acceptable varnish finish. The base has a felt disc so it won't scratch anything.All of the of the "Art Advantage" hand mannequins I've seen on Amazon fit the "two joint thumb" description.
To illustrate the limitation, make a fist with your own hand...thumb on the outside like you're going to punch something....see that, the two jointer's can't do that. Now, make a fist with your thumb tucked inside your fingers. That it will do. Now, note how the base of your thumb is pinned against your hand. That is the fixed position of these mannequins.
The joints where the fingers meet the palm cannot be rotated despite appearing to be ball joints. Attempting to rotate them will result in the sound of wood starting to crack. So you cannot spread the fingers into any natural hand positions other than that of the retail photo used for the listing. They just "sprout" straight out of the palm and a are fixed.
It may be possible to peel away the felt to access the mechanism to loosen the spring that holds the fingers to facilitate spreading the fingers, but I haven't messed with it since the thumb is beyond help.
It works fine for basic poses. However, the fingers/thumb has a limited range in motion. If you wanted to make a tight fist, you can't do it with this mannequin. If you wanted to do sign language handshapes as models to draw upon, this mannequin falls short.
My advice, go to your local art store and try out a couple of poses you want to model.

I picked these brushes up from Michael's for $4.99 a great price for all the brushes. I highly recommend being very extra thorough in cleaning the brushes prior to first use as after a casual cleaning to get the starching agent out, the brushes lost quite a few hairs on the first use. This problem has since resolved itself and while they're not my favourite brushes by any means, they are decent. Great for a beginner or someone who just wants to play around. :)

Though you may get what you pay for, these brushes are a steal for the price. They're cheap, and the quality shows the price...yet insofar, none have broken, and now that they're broken-in, they aren't terrible.Bottom line: certainly not professional quality, but unmissable for the price.

Found this set in a craft store for a bit cheaper, in addition to the fact that I've used them twice and they're already falling apart. Acrylics are hard on brushes but this is ridiculous. Guerrilla Painter Backpacker 6 by 8 Watercolor Palette
I just loved this smaller, compact, yet big enough to carry alot of paints palette! The plastic is very, very sturdy, not flimsy, not thin like the others. This is a quality palette. I bought it to put those paints I just know I really want with me but don't want to fill up the large wells on my Pike Palette (another excellent choice). This fits inside the mixing area on my Pike Palette and I can travel with it this way, only taking up the same amount of space as my original palette. Certainly, thinking of getting another one because its so sturdy and easy to use, loved the size. I don't have a Guerilla Plein Air product, only this. I actually have the setup from "Plein Air Pro", which comes with a nice messenger bag that carries my tripod, easel and palette. So, my space was limited on taking another palette with me. I was hoping this would work and it's height is perfect, quality is 100% and I know any artist would love this. I use it for all of my earth colors, Bt. Sienna, etc and some of those wild colors like Quinacridone Coral that I wouldn't give an entire well to on my main palette, but so love to use.

I bought this especially to use with the Guerrilla thumbox. Its not bad it just doesn't fit all that well considering its an accessory for the thumbox. I put the small palette in my new Guerrilla painter backpacker box. It fits great. I have not put any paint in it yet, but just got it for my Christmas gift. I took the box on location in Old Sacramento last weekend. It was windy and the box wiggled on top of the camera tripod a little. I used some other small palette that I have and did 3 paintings within 2 hours. I did 12" x 16" Arches 140 lb CP block paper for the H Street Golden Bridge and Joe's Crab Shack. Then, I turned to the North and did the Delta King Paddle Wheeler Ship and the railroad bridge and Sacramento River on 11" x 15" Canson 140 lb. CP paper. Then, I did another painting on Yupo paper about 10" by 14". The first painting I did seating and kept the palette inside the box. On the second and third painting, I painted standing. The wind was cold and the overcast made it more difficult to see any shadows. People would say that it looks like fun. An old Chinese fellow, I think, wanted to paint, but his wife wanted to move on to go shopping.I will put some tube paints in this palette soon and take on various locations. I am a member of the Sacramento Plein Air group and a few others. I should get a lot of use out of this palette. Sometimes, I use several palettes at the same time, because I want a wider variety of colors to chose from.

Liquitex Assorted 22-milliliter Basics Acrylic Paint , 48-Pack
I searched high and low for this large set of 48 colors. The tube size is generous and the colors are true quality! Delivery was quick! (3 days!) The only problem I had was when puncturing the seal for the first time on the tubes the paint tended to spurt out as if under pressure. This may, however, be due to the fact that I live at high altitude (6000 ft.) This tip may help for those of you who have the same problem: Use a safety pin to puncture the seal instead of the point on the lid. Leave the safety pin in for a few seconds to allow the pressure to release slowly. When you remove the pin you shouldn't lose any paint.

I am using these paints for wargame miniature painting and am happy with the results. They mix well, but you need to use a flow enhancer when painting minis. I use my own mix, but Liquitex makes a product called "Flow-Aid" that is designed for that purpose. I like the vibrancy of the colors, and this box comes with several colors that are just slightly different, allowing for quick wash/drybrush combos. i love this paint. it lasts for a long time, because you really dont need that much and it spreads wonderfully. the only thing is some colors (not very many) are a little different from the tube color, which is to be expected i guess. but overall i love itSave 35% Off

I bought this particular easel for its versatility. Adjustable heights, usable as a table top easel, and the drawer/carrying case/strap was a plus. But about 2 weeks into using the easel, keeping it standing at its full height, with stuff in the drawer, Inoticed it leaning a bit. It seems the back leg wasn't screwed in straight enough and now it's weakening. So I can only use
it as a table top easel.. which is fine.. at least it's usable in some way, and the the range of adjustability for canvas placement
is really good. I'm still getting a lot of use out of it and don't regret my choice.

The easel is realy great. I brought it and i recommended it to a lot of people. Although, the easel ended up breaking (due to a mistake. the front leg broke and the top) I was given a full refund and I plan on buying another easel soon :DThe easel is great, but I was supposed to get free 2-day shipping on this and a palette and a set of brushes. It was going to be a surprise for my wife. I ordered all three on the same order but the only thing that was shipped free was the set of brushes. I wonder if I am seeing a trend in merchandise that is ordered online. Recently I have ordered and received 2 items via internet that were defective in some slight way. I'm guessing that because it is such a pain to return an item thru the mail that many sellers are shipping out products that are just a *little* defective figuring that consumers will just live with them or fix them themselves.This is the case with this, um, case from Guerrilla. One of the velcro pads on the side pocket never got sewed on. I'm sure it's just an oversight, but a rather obvious one that anyone would have noticed if you were examining it in a physical store. The case is great otherwise, but the defect is annoying. So, like many others out there, I'm going to fix it myself (pick up some velcro and sew it on). This must be the price we have to pay for the "convenience" of ordering online: we get merch that is good enough to not be worth the trouble to send back.

got it as a gift for someone just starting to paint seems to be of good quality and they loved it! the only thing that i didn't like or expect was that the included canvas is not blank. it has a pre-made design and you fill it in with colors. I, as well as the recipient, would have preferred a blank canvas.
