I ordered this for our Sunday school class. I wanted the magnetic whiteboard instead of a regular whiteboard because quite often the teacher just needs to put things up during the class. This way we just use magnets instead of wasting tape. This is very sturdy and I love the fact you can flip the board. This is great for questions on one side and putting the answers on the other, then the teacher just has to flip it. At the base of the board where it spins there is a nook for the markers and eraser. I purchased a magentic eraser and magnetic markers separately and they stick to the board without a problem. The handle makes it easy to transport although I do find it to be a little heavy to lift and move around. I also like the fact it is height adjustable and you can easly attached one of those easel writing or drawing pads with the hooks at the top. This is definitely multi-functional and we will get a lot of use out of it in our class. Definitely worth the price.

Crayola 6ct Dry Erase Broad Line Wahable Markers

you can barely see the lighter colors on WHITE board and it doesn't come off using a regular white board eraser. highly do not recommend

These are the worst dry erase markers I have ever used. Ones from the dollar store work better. The colors are so pale you can barely see them. You need to use soap and water to clean them off the white board. These are a waste of money and a hassle.

I looked at these for my classroom, thinking they would be easier for kids. Their claims of washability were also important to me.

I don't know how washable they are, because I won't use them again. The caps are far too tight for kids to use. I could handle that, except that the darn things don't wipe off our dry erase board! I will have to scrub them off. I use a microfiber cloth to clean off the dry erase board, and it did not even TOUCH the writing and drawing we had done. It should NOT be this difficult to wipe off dry erase markers.

American Easel Oak Colossal A Frame Easel-Golden Finish

This is a great easel, it comes totally assembled, all you have to do is fold it out and put the canvas holding parts on. Note that in order to put a 50 inch canvas on the easel you will have to have the bottom holder just a few inched off the ground so you will have to get down low to paint the bottom of the canvas. Fine for me, as the easel is sturdy and well priced for the solid craftsmanship. I'm going to paint the easel black so it matches the rest of my furniture and serves as a decorative corner piece when I'm not using it. It flattens for storage but it's still pretty darn tall so I think it's easier to keep it in the dining room corner with a finished painting on it.

This item was on sale when I bought it. It met and exceeded my expectations. It is also quite attractive standing in the room if you wanted to use it for display.

I have had the Jullian and the Mabef half box French easel now and the Mabef, although more expensive is far

superior to the Jullian except for one problem, the folding palate sent with the Mabef is not of the same

quality (although usable) as the Jullian's, which is strange since the easel itself is lighter and better constructed.

I upgraded to the Mabef because the Jullian I was using completely fell apart on me after about a year and a half of use.

One of the best things is the Mabef locks down to stay shut during transportation instead of relying on a

easily bendable too small hook.

This portable easel is a wonderful product. It's lightweight, cleverly designed and beautifully crafted from Italian beech. It folds up small enough to carry on your back, but unfolds into a strong, flexible platform with a high degree of adjustability, a wide stance that handles uneven terrain quite well, and convenient storage for supplies. Highly recommended.

Well made, classic, sturdy product. Lighter and more compact than the full size french easel. My "french companion" palette case sits on the open drawer of this model, but is a bit precariously perched, and care is needed to equally weight both sides of the case to prevent the case from toppling. I doubt that the larger french mistress palette case would work with this easel. The backpack straps make this easel easy to tote. I am a happy camper.

I have paid for a quick shipment, but the TCP Global Corp. sent the easel two days later than expected. The wood is dry, soft and thin, it also has no finish, the wood is rough and raw with no varnish or sealer. Arrived with marks, dents and cracks. Do not waste your money buying at TCP Global Corp or MABEF products.

Bought this system for a 20-employee shop. Was a little tricky to set up because the manual does not say how to do it for the ethernet version (only the usb version). But figured that out, then it was pretty easy to set up and use. Employees like it. We did need to set up a paper system for road people to report their time and mileage, though (the time-trax does not handle those). It would be great if there were a web interface so they could report it from wherever they are.

No docs on ethernet setup but tech support helped. Takes a little getting used to remembering to swipe the card but good riddens to time sheets. Would also be nice to allow multi-user (bookeeper and manager) but they only support single user. Overall quite satisfied.

The time clock itself seems pretty reliable, but the software is horrible. The time card report is just a list of punches, not even separated by date. It's very hard to tell when employees are missing punches. Other time clocks in this price range have much better software, but we purchased this because this was an ethernet time clock and didn't require a computer to be on in order for employees to punch.

Monet French Easel

The easel is simple to work with, sturdy and is the perfect way to "package" the paints/supplies between sessions. Since the medium involved is oil paint, it remains usable within the easel when it is closed down to a box. This is a well-made product, nice wood and quality metal parts, adjusts easily. The wooden construction does make it a bit weighty for a child to tote, but I can't see a way around that.

American Easel Solid Oak Table Top Easel-Golden Finish

I own two full sized easels but have wanted a table top model for working out on the porch during nice weather or for those odd projects here and there. After visiting a local art supply store, I was extremely disappointed by the selection and decided to shop online...something I rarely do for art supplies given the variability of products and how difficult it is to really determine quality.

Locally, the primary options were the aluminum models as well as a few wooden ones with various features. I quickly opted against a tripod as it didn't provide sufficient support especially when working on larger projects. Aluminum has the advantage of being lightweight but simply not comfortable when painting due to the instability. Others were solid but bulky without the ability to work on large items. This is a wonderful compromise it feels very much like a full sized (albeit much smaller) easel...very sturdy, incredibly simple to set-up and no worry about tipping over due to the heft. It does weigh considerably more than an aluminum easel but is still well within the feasibility of being portable if that is a consideration (although you won't want to lug it far).

It arrives mostly assembled two parts need to be attached which takes less than 2 minutes total and requires no tools. The range is surprisingly large for an easel of this size it will hold a significant sized canvase with ease. The dual supports provide ample bracing. I happened to find this on sale for just over 1/3 of the MSRP and consider it a total bargain given the overall quality.

There are a couple items I would change primarily, it does NOT contain a tray at the bottom which I really miss...it's one of those things I grow used to when working on a full sized easel and miss for storing paper towels etc in when working but of course, it's a quick work around. The other preference is for the bottom of the canvas to sink below the table setting which is not possible with this model...again, that is an individual preference that comes from working with full sized easel(s) that would require a totally different design.

All in all, this is very well built, solid, holds a suprisingly large canvas and feels a lot like working on a full sized easel. In fact, it's so convenient and nice, I'm contemplating getting rid of one of my older large easels and using this as a full-time second instead. The price I paid was less than $20 more than a cheapie aluminum tripod style that provides much less support or stability EXCEPTIONAL bargain.

Wanting to save myself the effort in building one, I decided to give this easel a try. For it's price ($56 USD), I almost feel I stole the thing! Came almost completely assembled in the box (was required to install bottom canvas support, turn top mast around, and install back support bolt), and was set up in a matter of minutes. Its rubber feet keep this easel from moving around.

However, there are a few problems with this easel, which I have noted, below:

1) Its water-based finish is very thin, and since my medium of choice is acrylic/gouache paints, I decided to lay on a coat of oil-based polyurethane over it;

2) Angle adjustment braces were installed a bit off-center, making alignment a tad difficult. But, because the hinges, though adequate, are thin enough, alignment of the two angle adjustment braces was feasible;

3) An end of the uppermost back brace was not sanded like the other pieces, leaving a splintery edge;

4) Front cross piece of the base is bowed, but does not impede adjusting the angle of the easel;

5) Both base cross pieces are shorter than the width of the assembled top frame, necessitating (at the factory) loosening the screws holding the base feet rails to allow the top frame to be lowered into the base frame when collapsing the easel for travel or storage. I've found this more than a little annoying;

6) There is no provision for painting on canvas boards (slot running the length of both upper and lower supports), and;

7) Absence of rubber pads at the ends of both upper and lower supports makes keeping a canvas from moving around while painting on it rather difficult. Had to install pads to keep canvas still during sessions.

Otherwise, given the time it would have taken me to make one, this easel, for the money, is still a good deal. Having a look at American Easels' web site, and seeing their suggest MSRP for the very same easel, there is no way I would pay their list price for a frame of this modest build quality. But, for what I paid for it on Amazon, I'm glad I went ahead and got one.

FINAL SAY: Good easel for the money I paid, but wouldn't pay a dollar more.
