I found a couple tiny easels similar to this at WalMart but I wanted a bunch of them to make Christmas ornaments for family gifts. I found plenty in stock and was able to order five packages, total of 10 easels. These are actually nicer than the ones I found, the easels are painted nicely (doesn't look cheap or crummy) and the canvas is slightly bigger exactly 3x3". I used a gel medium photo transfer technique and made adorable gifts for my family and they are perfect.Also, they arrived in two days. TWO DAYS. And I did not pay for rushed shipping. Fantastic seller, I couldn't be happer!

It is very lightweight and compact, but the hole in the flip chart holder that is supposed to fit over the screw to hold it onto the easel was too small. I had to open it up a bit using a metal file to get it to fit over the screw. Once I did that , the wing nut that screws on to hold the bar in place worked fine and amazingly it was sturdy enough to hold the flip chart in place. The flip chart bar is on a spring mechanism and it did take two of us to get the chart in place one to hold the spring bar open and the other to slip the chart in but that also meant that it did hold the chart firmly in place. I had a gift card that brought the cost down significantly if I had paid full price I probably would have returned it rather than going through all the effort of having to make it work. Strathmore 400 Series Drawing Paper Pad
I've been using Strathmore papers for more than 25 years. The 400 Series 150 gram paper is cold pressed and is sizing-free. This is perfect for pencil and technical inks. Strathmore indicates you can apply light washes, but they mean "really really really LIGHT" washes. The paper will deform with watercolor or too much ink.Being sizing-free means it has great tooth for picking up graphite and technical or india ink.
The glue binding the pages to the pad used to be a rubber cement type adhesive that allowed you to pull the sheets off cleanly -meaning you don't have to trim them for a crisp edge. I believe this is still true of the 150 g Drawing Paper, but beware that Strathmore Marker Pad paper doesn't have such a great binding: you must x-acto the sheets off the binding or it will tear.
The reason for the 4 star review instead of a 5 star review is due to the fact that these pads are rarely vacuum-sealed in shrink wrap. I almost always find them exposed to ambient air. This can mean the paper has absorbed moisture from the air which can affect ink (not graphite) performance on the paper. (Remember these sheets don't have sizing to seal them.) Also, marker -like Copic or Tombow tends to warp the paper (as well as bleed through; but that isn't the performance window of Series 400.)
For the price, they're great sheet pads that handle graphite, erasing (pink pearl seems to work best), and technical ink.
To the reviewer who was disappointed at getting only a single "pad" all I can say is shop around, read the description, and you'll discover this is a good price compared to retail for Series 400.
If you need something more sturdy for heavier washes or dense ink try their Bristol Board which is available hot-pressed or cold.

You can find more sheets of paper for less money in similar paper products, but not of this quality. Those inexpensive pads are adequate for younger children; we all know how they often enjoy scribbling one line per page and then tossing the unfinished "work" ... or pasting it to the fridge AS IS! Daddy's little budding artists ... lol ...But this Strathmore product is definitely for the more advanced artist who wants a sketch that s/he can frame, if desired. This paper is of a higher quality in an aesthetic cream color, appropriate for highlighting details of the artist's best illustrations.
Since each pad contains twenty-four 80lb. acid-free sheets per spiral-bound pad, that's approximately six sheets per dollar. What a bargain!

This is one of those items I wished I could touch before I bought. I is accurately described, but when you get it, there's this shiny sheen to it that reminds me of plastic. I expected the rod iron you would normally see, but it wasn't. Oh well. I would not recommend unless you plan on painting or putting far, far away.
A+ Childsupply Economic Adjustable Easel
We purchased this easel for our 7 year old daughter. It's a HUGE disappointment. Extended to its full height, my daughter still has to kneel to use it. The claim that it grows with your child is bogus. Not sure how a 14-year-old will use it without having to put it on a raised surface. The chalkboard doesn't really take to chalk very well, you really have to push down. The dry erase board, well, doesn't erase very well at all. We used good dry erase markers on it, and when we erased, it left a lot of ghosting. We've had it for less than a month, and we're already in the market for a new easel one that stands taller, and has better a quality chalkboard and dry erase surface. This one's going in the trash.
The assembly was quite a problem for us. The main issue is that the assembly instructions show the entire upper portion of the easel (the chalkboard-whiteboard-hinge assembly) as though it were already put together, but it was not -it came in pieces. It's not that hard to assemble it, but without any instructions to do so it took us 30 minutes or so extra. Also, one of the screws was incorrect. I called the company today and they promised to send a new one. Another reviewer commented on sharp and splintered wood. We didn't encounter that.

The holes where the screws go into were sharp and the wood on several was splintered. Screws were to short or stripped, wooden knobs can't be tightened or loosened because the screws aren't secured, dry esase dosen't erase, (no instructions as to whether this is even a dry erase) although it looks exactly like all the dry erase boards in my house. Will erase if you do it immediately, if you wait 2 seconds forget it. The wooden tray falls off if bumped at all, easel then collapses and falls over, very dangerous for small children. My 8 year old Granddaughter tipped it over twice in 30 minutes.This product was the worst item I have purchased in years. Not worth a third of the money even without the above defects. Junk!!!!

I ordered a 50" easel, then received a phone call from the company stating that this item was not in stock. They sent me a 72" easel to see if it would work for my project. It was too large, like I had suspected. I called the company and told them I would be shipping the easel back to them & requested a refund since they didn't have the size easel I needed. It cost me $30.60 to ship the 72" easel; however they only refunded the cost of the easel. I am still waiting on the shipping refund.
I would of cost me more to send it back, never the less its a beautiful peace
