This is a very well-made easel and the perfect size for my 6 year old. I think it will last many years, even as he grows taller. I was concerned that maybe the deluxe easel would be a better quality, but I don't think it can be any better than this. Great value no need to buy the expensive version.

This is my third easel, I gave two to Grandchildren for Christmas last year. One, soon to be three, uses it to release feelings and emotions. Go...let it all out in colors and drawings. The other was in a situation where the parents moved to a new home in a new town. After the house was set up she went in to see her room and there was her familiar friend, her easel.

I consider this a perfect gift for 3,4,5 or any age.

IT IS OF EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY AND THE COMPANY MAKES THE RETURN POLICY ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE!!

THE WOOD IS WARPED, THE HOLES DO NOT LINE UP CORRECTLY, THE PLASTIC IS FADED AND THE OTHER REVIEWS ARE MORE THAN LIKELY WRITTEN BY THE COMPANY!!!

It took over 3 weeks for them to reply and they were rude on the phone They expect a %30 restocking fee and for you to pay for shipping if you want a refund, which ends up almost as much as the original cost!!!

I purchased this easel for my six year old son at Christmas. Within four months, two of it's legs had snapped right off. I would NEVER recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this easel for my 3 year old's Christmas gift. It is important to have sturdy items that children can be themselves around. Being a construction foreman for 8 years gave me a clear understanding of how wood joints should be designed in order to withstand damage. Each of the four legs on this easel have a joint in the middle intended to decrease packaging size and costs, which is understandable. Notwithstanding, the way the joints were designed creates the one potentially fatal flaw of the product. A child simply leaning against one of the legs could easily snap the joint, rendering the easel unusable. A bit of handy work could easily solve the problem but this is certainly something the manufacturer could have addressed more thoroughly. If you are not accustomed to fixing your own things then this item will likely be a waste of your time and money as it will end up in a land fill.

I'm sure this product is fine, but I thought I was ordering the portfolio -not just black refill sheets. Yes now I see that the description says "black refill pages" but I was just paying attention to the picture. I have been using the portfolios for my children's artwork and like them a lot -I just wanted more & have no use for the black papers.

Firstthis is just a piece of plastic with some two sided tape. No paper included. I knew this when I bought the itemso that was OK, but the picture shows paperso worth clarifying.

Secondthe paper that goes with this item is very heavy and the two sided tape that sticks the plastic easel hanger to the wall is too weak to hold it up. It will stay up for a few hoursso if you just want something for a single meeting then fine, but otherwise this is really just not as advertised. Disappointing since I usually have good experiences with 3M products.

The item is described as being white which would blend with my walls but is actually black. I am not returning it because I need the functionality more than the appearance.

The problem with this easel is that there is no way to lock the legs into place, so the easel is highly unstable. Maybe the legs will stay put on plush carpet, but who paints on that? On hardwood or tile floors the legs scoot out and flop flat. Tightening the wingnuts makes only a temporary difference; even the slightest pressure on the table causes the legs to collapse. I gave this product two stars (instead of 1, which it actually deserves) only because I like its general appearance and wood construction.

These turn buttons are very basic stamped metal pieces with the tips bent up slightly. Being stamped pieces, the edges are slightly rough in places. The metal is thick enough that they don't bend easily, so there's no concern about items secured by them falling out of a frame. Several had slight surface rust on the edges (maybe 20%), but at the price, that's an acceptable amount considering the next cheapest ones I found ran 20 cents a piece (compared to about 4 cents here).

These aren't showpieces and should be relegated to face the wall, but overall I'm pleased with their performance given the price.

The description led me to believe that there would be 200 of the turn buttons with screws. What I got was a package of 100 turn buttons and 100 screws. I guess that adds up to 200 but seems like false advertising to me.

The buttons and screws I got worked fine, but not happy with the marketing.

Update to my review:

I emailed Amazon and they quickly responded back. Apparently I should have received 200 turn buttons with screws.

Amazon is providing a resolution.

I needed these turn buttons for my handmade picture frames. They were easy to install and worked perfectly. These seem better for small frames because of their small size, so I will probably start purchasing something bigger for my large frames. Great value for so many items. the price is great, the size is great and the paper is just okay. it's on the thinner side so not good for things like finger paints, water colors, etc., but our young artist prefers a pencil most the time and for that it is great. there were a time or two that a piece ripped while being used, but not often.

The paper is great for painting, markers, etc. The problem is that the sheets come off the pad seemingly by themselves, probably because of the size of the pad, which is larger than expected (but that's a good thing!). So what we do is detach one sheet and clip to my daughter's easel to use. If she wants to color, etc. we take a sheet off and put it on the table. Since the paper is so large it covers her little table almost completely and gives her more room to work with. All in all a great product!

The paper works great on both of my daughters easels. It isn't too thin and takes paint real well without tearing. It stood up to crayons well too.

muy delagadas las hojas, y venian todas sucias de la orilla, son mas economicas que las de Melissa and Doug, pero no son mejores. The papers came dirty, and they are so thin, not good for kids. Melissa and doug pad is more expensive but they are better for kids!

paper is definitely thin. but its a cheap pad to begin with. my son is 2 so he doesn't care and goes through paper fast so i'd rather not spend a lot of money
