I carefully compared ALL easels available (not just on Amazon) before ordering, and in spite of the poor reviews, decided on this one. I am so glad I went with my instincts! It arrived quickly, and is more than I had hoped for! It is just beautiful; it's the perfect weight, easy to set up and use, and easy to take down. It is sturdy, well-balanced, and not wobbly at all. The metal-lined drawer has adjustable inserts so you can customize the size of the brush or paint compartments. The price was very reasonable, and it had free shipping. Overall, I feel that this is a very good quality easel, and I am very pleased with this purchase. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I bought this for my daughter and she loved it!!! It is light weight, easy to set up and vary nice looking. After looking and looking I decided to give this one a try from Amazon glade I did I would definitely buy again!! Maybe next time for my wife, nice construction it should give my daughter many years of service.

Some of the fasteners were not installed. The drawer stop was broken off due to poor gluing. When I finally got it together, it was very wobbly. It wasn't going to be worth the effort to try and glue the stop back on, so I returned it. Maybe they were better when they were made in France.

I got this easel for my art classes last year and it was so helpful! It was big and spacy and I could use all kinds of materials on it. It worked great and was very sturdy!

I bought this easel for my 8 years old daughter. It was difficult to set up and does not seem very sturdy. I decided to keep it because we don't travel with it and it can stay set up. Otherwise, it's a good size and can be adjusted in height and for various size of canvas.
