I purchased the Mabef Giant Folding Easel from in the summer 2009. The first thing I want to say is that this people are exceptionlly good and professional. They gave me that necessary ~at least to me~ sense of confidence knowing that I am not dealing with a bunch of jerks.Considering the price of this easel, the Mabef Giant Folding Easel is an excellent choice. It is up to you, however, to ensure that your particular application will be satisfied with this easel. As a reference to you, I'll explain my particular case and use; and you take it from there.
I am a professional photographer, and I have to display my work to lots of people every day. I wanted an easel that does not look flimsy but sturdy, and that it sends the message of "quality" as my work does. I had to take into consideration that I had to transport the easel every day to and from the location where my photographs will be displayed.
Taking into consideration the logistics and my requirement to present my work in an easel that goes with my quality work, I have to say that I did not make a mistake. The Mabef Giant Folding Easel fitted my requirements perfectly well from the first day. So much so that I purchased another one. I now have two different kinds of photographic work displayed one next to each other on two Mabef Giant Folding Easels. Take my word for it: the set up looks exceptionally good and appropriate for a fine artist.
If Amazon will let me type this, I'll mention that I placed one light atop of each of the two easels pointing down lighting up my 16"x20" prints. Wow ! The entire set up looks so eye-catching and, above all, it sends the message of "quality" which is what I wanted in the first place. I carefully compared ALL easels available (not just on Amazon) before ordering, and in spite of the poor reviews, decided on this one. I am so glad I went with my instincts! It arrived quickly, and is more than I had hoped for! It is just beautiful; it's the perfect weight, easy to set up and use, and easy to take down. It is sturdy, well-balanced, and not wobbly at all. The metal-lined drawer has adjustable inserts so you can customize the size of the brush or paint compartments. The price was very reasonable, and it had free shipping. Overall, I feel that this is a very good quality easel, and I am very pleased with this purchase. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Some of the fasteners were not installed. The drawer stop was broken off due to poor gluing. When I finally got it together, it was very wobbly. It wasn't going to be worth the effort to try and glue the stop back on, so I returned it. I bought this easel for my 8 years old daughter. It was difficult to set up and does not seem very sturdy. I decided to keep it because we don't travel with it and it can stay set up. Otherwise, it's a good size and can be adjusted in height and for various size of canvas.

I have bought very expensive set of pencils that I do not like the way they 'feel' when I draw across paper, but these are smooth and comfortable I will be getting another set when I need them and I do not have to spend 20.00 or more on pencils or others I do not like.For those who do not know about drawing pencils. There are different numbers and letters at the bottom of the pencils. I use the 2H for light sketching and to draw from the object to the vanishing point because the pencil is light on the paper and it erases easy. Then When I want to darken the lines I use the 2B which is the lightest of the B's for shading I use all the B's which are dark and for the darkest shadows I use 6B which gives the darkest shadow and good for stippling, (dots close together for dark shadowing and further apart for lighter shadowing).

I purchased this product because I like to draw, and I wanted to experiment a little with charcoal. I received everything I expected and received it pretty early according to the shipping estimate. The quality of the pencils are not professional by any means, but they are perfect for beginners/intermediate artists.
