These are ok for holding lightweight canvas board or a small canvas, but don't try to put anything heavier like masonite or a large canvas on it...it will break. The back leg is braced by a 1/32" piece of wood that is about as strong as a piece of construction paper...it snaps quite easily, leaving the easel useless.
