Art Advantage Left Hand Mannequin

Art Advantage Left Hand Mannequinif i could give this a two and a half star rating i'd have done so but i can't, and two seems a little harsh.

anyways for what it is, it's not that bad, yet not amazing either. i bought it cause i was working on a piece of armour for a hand and needed to mount it on something. this seemed like the best solution at the time but turned out to not work at all. this was because the thumb isnt really all that moveable, it can move at the joint as seen in the picture, but (for people with a little anatomy knowledge) the flexor pollicis brevis area is totally solid and therefor constrains many of the natural looking positions a hand should be able to display. otherwise, the fingers moved quite nicely and naturally but only in the direction of the joints, in other words, they can't be splade outwards.

i can see that for a (very) basic sketching of a hand or displaying some jewellery this might be usefull, but otherwise for the price i ended up paying with shipping i'd reccomend looking for something else or making a chiken wire modle hand in the position you need as i did for my project. that depends on how 'hands' on you feel like getting.. sorry i had to :P

Pro Art H Frame Table Easel

Pro Art H Frame Table Easel...without it being intentional?

I just removed a splinter from the base of my forefinger as a result of this product. I will start from the beginning.

My easel arrived! My easel arrived! My excitement soon gave way when I opened the box. It didn't look like it was constructed of quality wood, the coloring was dull and the finish was not smooth. Okay, it's going to be covered with paint specks anyway so that's no big deal.

It didn't come with any documentation; that's fine, putting it together was simple enough.

I placed it on my workspace and...it wobbled! The whole point of get an H-frame instead of a tripod was for stability. Well maybe I could place a spacer underneath.

While I was figuring out whether I could unscrew and rescrew the cheap plastic pegs to decrease the wobble, I noticed the mildewey odor. The wood smelled rancid! Well, I suppose I could spray it with cologne.

THEN, I noticed that the ledge where the canvas was supposed to rest was tilted! I'm returning this.

While putting it back in the box, I got the splinter. Let's see whether the wood contains any germs that will infect the wound. That wouldn't surprise me.

Well made and put together for the price. Doesn't feel flimsy on a sturdy surface. Hold canvases just fine. I would recommend this product to other looking for an inexpensive easel to paint on.

Guidecraft Desk to Easel Art Cart

Guidecraft Desk to Easel Art CartThis is made of some cheap particleboard for the most part and if you aren't careful the screws will come right through. It's not a bad Easel ... I was just expecting a little more.

My mom got this for my 2 year old as a Hanukkah gift. My daughter LOVES it. I love that I can put the paint on the shelves to store them and the chalkboard hides it so that she can't get into it, but I can still have it right there with the easel where she will use it. I love that she can use the chalk board while the easel is down (so it is a flat topped table) and with paper on the other side of the easel there is paper so she can color with her crayons on the top of the table while it is down. But when it is raised up it is a big girl easel that she can easily reach but she will certainly be able to grow with this. She has had a lot of fun the last few days drawing and coloring all about. I love that she can pull out her own crayons and chalk from the shelves underneath (opposite side from chalk board so they are exposed all the time) so she can choose to color on her own, as well as being able to use it to teach her the importance of putting things away when you are done.
