Well designed and made. Minimal assembly effort needed. You need a #1 phillips head screw driver and about 2.5 ft. X 4 ft. of clear floor space. Observe the base for an assembly the should make clear how to configure the slide guide screw, spacer and nut. I did not see any written instructions and apparently they are not actually needed, but instructions are reassuring.

All the parts were in good order and nothing was missing. Assembly took about 15 plus minutes, but I was in no hurry at all.

It looks great, seems sturdy and I expect many years uf use.

I have had this easel for almost six years and after awhile when adjusting the height the tray would not hold and my painting crashed to the ground. I often work on two or three paintings at a time and each is a different height so I am constantly readjusting the easel to accommodate the canvas. I was lucky in that my husband adjusted the back metal stress plate (that the knob screwed into) each time and that held for several months.

But now the screw is stripped in the adjustment knob and my husband had to gerry rig a new knob for me.

This easel was perfect in every way for me, not too big for my 8' ceiling, easy to move about and light weight.

However without an easy system for adjusting height it is almost useless...

I have learned to only buy easels with a ratchet system for adjustment from now on.

Symphony Bamboo Art Stand Vertical

Love it. I got the vertical and horizontal. Built well, doesn't waddle, strong, big enough at least for Mr.Easy to transport since it folds. This one you can even use it as a book stand. I'm happy with this purchase. I was very pleased how well they packed it, well protected. you buy this and you probably wont need another for years, that well is built.

Martin Universal Portfolio Oil Painting Art Kit

I got this because I wanted to start painting and didn't feel like spending a lot of money on fancy tools I didn't know how to use. It comes with a 10 page canvas which was surprisingly AMAZING to paint on. The brushes however, are not that great and are difficult to use because of how hard some of them are. One thing to keep in mind though if you're going to purchase this: make sure you get special oil to clean your brushes with. Water won't do and the paint will remain on your brushes. Overall good product especially for the price.

Mine arrived with frazzled brushes, and were unusable, a shame as the rest of the set was just OK. Found cheaper sets at Walmart.

I don't remember why I purchased these, but they are great for scrapbookers, kids and general arts and crafts people. I can draw reasonably well, but my painting skills are very weak. With these, I can draw a picture and then use a little water to soften and blend the colors and get the effect of a painting. Everyone who gives them a try really enjoys the results. My only complaint is the lack of purple. There is pink, but no purple. I look forward to purchasing a larger set with more colors. The sturdy case flips back to make a stand which is a great feature.

Mabef French Sketch Box Easel M22

Fine craftsmanship. The box is lightweight and small when folded into a "suitcase" if you will. It offers moderate storage with adjustable metal trays. You can draw or paint at any angle from horizontal to vertical. My wife uses it for oil pastels. We had a nice piece of 1/8" plywood laying around and cut her a drawing board that fits perfectly into the notched grooves. We both highly recommend this easel/sketch box.

My new easel is working great. I like the functionality of the storage part of the easel. There were no problems with the product or the shipping. It arrived promptly and in excellent condition.
