This is a nice, sturdy, all wood easel. It has a hidden paper roll which I did not know about when I ordered but was happy to discover. The rubber floor protection pieces on the legs also help keep it in place.

You need to disassemble it to fold it up for storage.

Overall, this is a very nice, practical easel which our grandchildren will enjoy for a long time. It is height adjustable and also can be used tabletop.

Shipping was quick; we received it within one week.

I like this easel. We received it as a gift. It was easy to put together. You don't *have* to put on the legs--the easel will stand on its own at floor height. However, if you don't put on the legs, you won't be able to hang the red bags for storage. Those are wonderful, by the way, to store EVERY piece of artsy stuff that my daughter owns! The tray that attaches to both sides of the easel is wonderful. The roll of paper is nice, and you can use both sides... :)

The chalkboard & whiteboard are NOT magnetic, which I think is kind of a bummer. Of course, the chalkboard is not super great quality, which is why I give the easel 4 stars.

Oh, and FYI, you will have to loosen a couple of screws to fold this up to store flat. No biggy, but FYI.

I took weeks looking for an art easel that would be high quality for my daughter. It was her "big gift" from Santa. I am a single mom and I work four to five days a week so didn't have a chance to open and really look at it until Christmas Eve when I was putting it together. It was missing parts, some of the parts weren't cut correctly, and some of the parts were broken. I ended up having to just do the best I could. I spent more money on this one than others I saw because I thought it looked like a nicer one than others.

This easel is easy to set up even without instructions (which are included), it was missing only one small wing nut/bolt connector. It is very adjustable and handsome; I really like this little easel and think it a great value for the cost.

I will use it in my study, however, I could certainly use it outside. I only hope my art is as good looking!

Bought this for my daughter at college and had it shipped direct to her there. Arrived on time, as described and was easy to assemble. She loves it it's lightweight, portable and is working out fine.

I do NOT recommend this product! It had flaws from the beginning. Although I received it in a timely fashion, and needed it for an extended art trip, it never held together the way it was supposed to! The size and weight are alright, but the three legs where supposed to 'click in' or hold in place, I had to hold the thing together with bungee cords! The legs flopped, the wood cracked, screws and hardware came off. It was a royal pain to put up and take down, and try to close it up with the legs flopping all over. You get what you pay for, a more expensive one may have been better. I was about to throw the thing over a cliff, but I bought a much more expensive, lighter weight aluminum easel, that I will have for the rest of my life. I may just give my poor, old French sketch box to Good Will, someone may have the skill to fix it. I recommend not wasting your money on this model!

This is the first easel purchased for my teenage artist. It is very light, yet sturdy. It is set up in a crowded room at the moment, and no fear of tipping over when it is bumped. The only issue is that it does not come with directions on how to convert it from the portable box position to the standing position. I had to call in my engineer husband to figure out how to get it standing, and we have not moved it from this position yet. It will probably take some practice to learn to easily convert it, but directions would be a nice addition. Overall a good value for the money!

Our creative son surprisingly asked for an easel for his birthday. It is adjustable for height so that he can sit or stand and even grow into it. The drawer is great for storage. This easel also compacts into a case for easy transporting. I highly recommend this affordable quality product.

Royal Artist Watercolor Easel Art Set With Easy To Store Bag

I purchased this set for my 14 year old niece. She is extremely talented and primarily works with acrylics and sketch pencils. When she mentioned her interest in trying out watercolors, I ordered this set for her. She was beyond thrilled to receive it and immediately began using it. Some of the art she's created with this set is phenomenal. She loves the fact that it has a sketch easel attached to the box and its own carrying bag. When I asked her if the paint was easy to use, etc. she told me that it was really great and that she really liked them. I would encourage anyone that is starting out in watercolors to purchase this. It's of great quality and has endured a 14 year old's "abuse" of carrying it around everywhere she goes. Keep in mind the box is made of wood. Although it's wood, it is a little lower quality than a higher end set. In this range of artist sets, it is a wonderful product.

Everything was as described, the brushes are excellent. I do wish it had come with more watercolor paper. The size is very convenient since it can be stored anyway and also to travel.

I needed to have a portable table to work with children in homes and schools and find this one to be a good product for the money. I like that it is washable and light-weight, easy to set-up and colorful. It would certainly be good to use in various places around the home (couch/soft seat/ on floor with back support, etc.)for children who are smaller and need a quick way to set up to do artwork or paperwork. The soft surface is great for cleaning, but you need to have a firm under-surface for some drawing and certainly for writing. I just use a piece of cardboard or a clipboard. I think you could possibly use it in the car, too. Again, Amazon had a better price than the stores,,even with the added shipping charge.
