Great wood quality with many positional choices. Packaging was good. Delivered on time. Only thing negative is that the gold bar winding tool for the sides didn't have enough grooves to screw into the ball attached to the easel so we just used wing nuts. Other than that I love it.
I usually use the acrylic paints that are sold in the bottles but I wanted to try this out. The set is very nice but doesn't come with the palette knife. Also, some of the paints were really dry and that is why this didn't get five stars. All in all though, I really like this set and I especially love the pencil and eraser that comes with it. I've found that with other pencils and erasers, there is evidence of erasing on the painted item. Not so with this. Also, the wooden case is very nice and the price was great. I do like this but I think I prefer the other acrylic style paints. Time will tell more though since I'm just learning more about this particular acrylic type. I recommend this for a beginner and advanced painter as well.

Bought this for my niece who was interested in learning to paint. Acrylic are a good choice for kids since they dry quicky and wash up with water. The set Has a nice set of brushes for small canvas work but larger ones would be necessary if painting on larger canvases. The basic colors are in the kit but even with knowledge of color mixing the shades you can get are limited. Additional tubes of varying shades would be helpful as well as larger tubes of black and white since they get used up more quickly. It's a little smaller than I thought it would be but the price is right. Gave it to a 10 yr old grandson as a gift. He loves it!

Once the product was assembled which had taken my husband several hours to do it works perfectly and am very pleased and using it fully. However, I must say that instructions could have been made clearer. Sometimes it was very difficult to understand and you needed tools that were not supplied in the assembly packet.I almost didn't buy this table because of all the reviews about how hard it was to put together. I never write product reviews but had to write one to say that I found the instructions to be very clear and precise. I don't know if improvements were made based on customer complaints, but the instructions that came with my table were incredibly clear. In fact, screws and parts were sorted and labeled with number stickers that corresponded to the instructions. Yes, it did take some time to construct because it's a somewhat complex table with a lot of parts, but the instructions were very clear. I had exactly all the parts I needed, and it was all in excellent condition. The table works great. It's kind of a small table, though, which works for the young daughter I purchased it for but would not work as well for a larger person.Hi,
The hardware packet said it had 18 1.5" connector bolts. It only had 8. The bolts for the uprights were 2" long and needed to be 1.5" so they had to resend the right size. Customer service was very nice and was apologetic and willing to send out the correct screws right away. Now I need 2 more nuts and the long bolt is defective and won't screw into the knob. For $200.00 (the convertible easel), I would think the hardware would be correct. The directions are relatively easy to follow, but could be more specific. This has been extemely frustrating and I would think twice about ordering online again. The wood is really nice and the easel is sturdy. If only I could get it together to actually USE it.
I got this board for my son who loves to play with magnetic letters and magformers and also loves to draw (white board and on paper). I looked at many more "fun looking" toddler easels, but while they were more colorful and had more 'pizzaz,' they were also limiting in terms of age and size -this one seemed it would grow with us. It's nice and big. Stands sturdy, has a tray on front a back for holding pens, markers, etc. I do plan to stain it a darker color the wood is nice and sanded, but with a toddler using it, it will look pretty bad really fast. I don't see that as a design flaw, just a choice.
