Very stable. Flexible presentation, from upright to horizontal for different work habits or media. Beautiful enough to leave out but also fairly simple to fold down to clear space. Well worth the price. Not much to assemble (basically just attaching the top to the bottom and inserting the slides,)but the one minor complaint I have is that the instructions for assembly are a tad ambiguous, leading to some experimentation before getting it quite right. Shipping was prompt but check the box for signs of having been dropped and, if any, photograph before opening. The package is a bit heavy and I've had some bad experiences with clumsy shippers denying responsibility. Fortunately, though it was clear this box had been dropped on one end, the internal packaging was good enough to absorb the impact without damage to the easel. (Bravo!)

This came very well packaged, is solid oak and I love it!! I put sliders (bought at Bed Bath and Beyond) under the feet and can slide it easily over my carpet.

I am a Watercolorist AND Oil artist and the fact that it so readily adjust to FLAT as well as UPRIGHT makes it ideal for me. I would buy this same easel all over again. Good price too.

Nice wood, nice smell, not to big but perfect for a smaller studio. The instructions could be a little clearer and there is some assembly required. I am looking forward to using it.

This is a really nice, extremely sturdy easel. It is the type of quality product that will last me a lifetime, and I'll probably be able to hand it down to my artistic children. It can hold a medium sized to a large canvas. The keys tighten up so that nothing moves as you paint. The shelf under the easel is a real plus.

The table wood easel is a good value for the money. It sets up easily, holds up well and does the job for the size display it was intended for. When taken apart it stores pretty easily.

I think for the price of this Easel it is great. The only thing I would have liked better is if the bottom had some little rubber pieces so it wouldnt slide. The hard plastic ones it has still slide a bit. But other than that it does what its supposed to for a very economic price.

Daylight Chrome Professional Artists Lamp

I have been searching for a light which helps me to paint in the evening. This lamp exceeded my expectations by its sturdy construction, wonderful illumination and flexibility. I highly recommend it for artists, craft artists, etc.

I just received my lamp, and I am so impressed! I hesitated about spending this much money on a clamp lamp for my painting easel, but now I'm happy I did! First of all, the lamp looks beautiful, not like the ugly round clamp lamps I was going to get... This looks like a high quality stainless type product, it is well made, and the clamp is very secure on the easel. The lamp itself is very heavy (so be cautious about easel stability if you extend the arm too far). The lamp lights up my painting with a very natural light... This product is definitely worth the price! Go for it!

I purchased the product in July. The light would flash and flicker for up to 5 minutes before it would come fully on. In order to check the bulb it requires removing 6 screws and the tube housing the bulb. The clips that normally secure this type of bulb are totally inadequate. The bulb is loose and floppy. It might be that the tube end is meant to help secure the bulb. I found it tedious and time consuming to reassemble the tube, it must be lined up just so. I spent 30 minutes or more on this. I do not expect the lamp to be dependable and would not recommend it.

It flickers on and off for at least 5 minutes before it stabilizes. It does this every time I turn it on again: I have to wait for a flickering light to decide it's ready to work. It's right out of the box. Otherwise, the design would have been so so great. I am so disappointed as I was really hoping it would have worked. Returning it ASAP.

I am anything but an artist so this is second-hand. It was a gift to my better half's mother. She has a very nice studio with a mostly skylighted ceiling. She has not been willing to paint at night due to poor indoor lighting. After about a week we got a call and she was thrilled how well it worked for her painting. She said it was a very good "daylight" to paint by. It was very easy to assemble and will clamp or mount just about anywhere on her easel.

I've actually only used these a couple times, but when I have used them they're fun. A nice range of vivid, blendable colors. Obviously the blunt ends aren't going to be great for fine details, but you can get some fun textured effects by pushing hard with some sweeping strokes. You blow through them really fast that way, but at six bucks a set why not? (Try not to overdo it, though; they're soft, break easy. And maybe check at local stores to avoid shipping. = ) ) These are also an affordable alternative for artists who like colored pencils but can't afford the steep prices. All around if you want to relax with some fun color, this is a great way to go.

I am a beginner at pastels and didn't want to invest a fortune until I was sure it would be something I would enjoy.

I do. And I enjoy these pastels. My teacher was happy with the quality of both the paper and the pastels I chose from Amazon and is considering buying both for the classes she teaches in public schools.

If I ever 'advance' to higher quality products, I will be sure to compare them.

Majestic Royal and Langnickel Short Handle Paint Brush Set, Detail, 11-Piece

I am a professional artist and I work in oils. I have used a variety of detail brushes of a wide range of quality and material. When it comes down to it, they all lose their shape over time no matter how careful you are with them the better brushes just last longer and have much finer points.

This set gives me 8 usable brushes for the cost of one really good brush and with a lot of care they have held up remarkably well. I find that for oil painting, all but the two longer bristled brushes are stiff enough to hold paint but flexible enough to be manipulated with control. The short handles are nice for me because I initially bought them for a compact, portable painting setup. The bristle tips haven't "chunked out" the way that cheap stiff bristle brushes do, creating an undesirable saw edge, and after 6 months of steady use have not lost any bristles (of course, I am careful not to wash them in warm/hot water, too).

As far as oil painting goes (and assuming the quality I received is the same with every set ordered) these are pretty decent brushes for your average painter or for beginners, and perfectly fine for professionals who don't need ultra-fine line work but still need to get into detailed areas and not worry about going through as many expensive detail brushes in the process.

I use these brushes for modeling. They are of decent quality for the price and do the trick for me. I havent had these brushes lose hair while painting but they have lost their shape quite a bit after approximately 20 uses. But like I said, for the price they are about what I expected. I'm going to be springing for some higher quality replacements soon.

These are very good budget brush set. When I got them, there were two brushes that looked bad but I decided not to return them because these were minor problems. I only used three brushes and they worked fine. I have no complaints about they brushes. There good for the average person who wants to have some fun painting detailed things. Highly reccomended.

I haven't used these yet, but the package they came in was open, all the protective caps were off, and 4 of them were loose in the box with frayed hairs sticking every which way. This isn't the company's fault, so I'll edit my review after I see how they perform. But at the moment, not too happy. This happens often with Amazon lately. They seal the outside of the main box, but they throw damaged or open items in it, so by the time you get your package and open it, it's a mess in there.

I'm an artist for a living, mostly making tiny detailed things, so getting frayed hairs to start with is a real bummer.

(Who ever is selling these should file a complaint with amazon, or tape the top of your brush "container" shut, so it doesn't open up so easy inside the box).
