This works well with my Quartet tripod easel, but I had to improvise a little because the Quartet and Adams pads attach differently. In fact, it's more secure because the Quartet pads clamp on, but often fell off the easel while writing, but I attach the Adams pad through the handle loop and they stay on. I didn't give it 5 stars because the "Unique fold out marker holder" which I thought would be a nice feature was useless. It's part of the cardboard backing that supposed to fold up at an angle to hold markers, but it won't stay folded.

I bought the easel for home use and it has proved to be invaluable for a single parent. I write a list chores for my kids and they check them off as they do them. They use it to write down to let me know when we're running low on printer ink, when school projects are due, if the pets need food or whatever so I can do or buy what's necessary before there's a crisis. And we all use it to write down our schedules and of course, doodling. I bring up this point because the carry handle and cardboard backing make it easy to remove from the easel and place on the floor or table to write on, even for youngsters, and the paper is thick enough so medium point Sharpies don't bleed through to the next page even when someone gets in an artistic mood.

One thing that I wasn't happy about was how the pads were packaged and delivered. I bought a two pack, which turned out to just be two pads that were individually "packaged" in unfolded cardboard moving boxs with no other protection. They were simply placed between two unfolded packing boxes that were taped together around the edges to keep the pads from falling out. If it had rained the day they were delivered I would have found soggy flattened boxes of mushy pulp on my doorstep when I got home from work.

Cost much less then purchasing locally at an overpriced office store.

The assembly instructions for this product are absolutely terrible. The picture doesn't match the real life product and the directions are incomplete. This product is not sturdy, but if you want to use it as a display it might be worth purchasing.

Update 6 months later: The easel has done a good job holding my whiteboard.

The assembly instructions --terrible. The picture in the assembly instruction -incomplete. This easel is not sturdy at all -it cannot even stand on the floor. I am not a really picky customer, but this is not a good one.

The easel is sold at a very good price. It takes a few minutes to put together, but once assemled, it works just fine. You are better off figuring out how to put it together yourself, than looking at the directions. The directions are not user-friendly. Great product and I would recommend it to others.

I bought this for a friend who loves to draw. I think it is a good quality for the price, and I was impressed by the shipping. It comes in a bundle with the screws included, so it takes some assembly. But its a good bang for your buck, so it was exactly what I expected.

B. Toys Kids Flip Down Wood Easel/art Desk Combo In Espresso

I bought this for my son two years ago. The easel has a dry-erase side and a chalk-board side. The chalk-board side isn't done properly and is too smooth--chalk doesn't write on it. Also, it doesn't function well as a desk. When folded down to a desk it's too high for any child under 5 to sit and reach (the desk area is 24" high when folded down)--and any children's chair is too low for it. I tried stacking pillows for a few months, but it was difficult. Even as an art easel I had to set up a step-stool for my son--then 3--to reach it to paint. Also, the bins underneath make it uncomfortable to sit at as the child's feet hit the bins. And, there is a section of wood on the top of the easel that sticks up making it hard for kids to reach/put their arms down to color, etc. when it's folded down as a desk.

The dry-erase works great, my kids have had fun using that and the paper that rolls up over the top for painting. I primarily wanted to use this as a desk, with the added feature of the art easel and have been disappointed that I couldn't do that. I'm thinking about cutting a few inches off the bottom of the legs-removing the bins and the wood pieces that hold then, removing the extra wood piece on the top of the easel to make it more usable as a desk. It's annoying that I have to make so many modifications though.

This carrying case contains ALL of the items that I need in my watercolor class. I even have room for watercolor paper. The straps allow you to carry the case as a backpack or shoulder bag. The spray bottle fits into the space very well. The large water container is water proof. The two small water bowls are large enough to be useful. The case is well made and tough. The paint brush holder holds many brushes. You can use the case as a table by standing it up on it's small feet when painting out of doors. I bought this particular easel for its versatility. Adjustable heights, usable as a table top easel, and the drawer/carrying case/strap was a plus. But about 2 weeks into using the easel, keeping it standing at its full height, with stuff in the drawer, I

noticed it leaning a bit. It seems the back leg wasn't screwed in straight enough and now it's weakening. So I can only use

it as a table top easel.. which is fine.. at least it's usable in some way, and the the range of adjustability for canvas placement

is really good. I'm still getting a lot of use out of it and don't regret my choice.

The essel is ok. Does it's job for the most part but a few quirks. It's very hard to get it straight. I physically have to push it to the side while tightening just to get it almost level. And the legs are hard to tighten too. I thought I had them good and tight. But an hour into painting one leg had loosened and slipped a few inches. Oh and the upper clampy deal has a pretty big crack in it. That all said 65 bucks verses a couple hundred for a nice one. Still would go with this one.

The easel is realy great. I brought it and i recommended it to a lot of people. Although, the easel ended up breaking (due to a mistake. the front leg broke and the top) I was given a full refund and I plan on buying another easel soon :D

The easel is great, but I was supposed to get free 2-day shipping on this and a palette and a set of brushes. It was going to be a surprise for my wife. I ordered all three on the same order but the only thing that was shipped free was the set of brushes. The easel didn't arrive for at least a week or more and I was charged shipping. I was very unhappy with the service on this order. I will shop around more in the future.
