I only wish this wasn't MADE IN CHINA. So yes, I will be watching to see if this holds up. I'm hoping it does for the price we paid but I really dont like made in china stuff.bought this cause my 3 yr old daughter is into painting and such at her pre-school! She kept talking about having her own Easel to have at home to make pictures. I bought this for her, and she has since loved it! She has created many wonderful pictures for Mommy and Daddy and othe family members!
When the packaged arrived it arrived all banged up, and the box had holes all over, and I was very nervous when I received it from the the Brown Truck driver! I told him to stand by while I checked out the package due to the entire box being damaged! I have learned that if the package arrives really damaged don't accept it and have the delivery company send it back! I checked the package out and everything was in order. I proceeded to put it together for my daughter, and layed everything out on the floor following the manual. The manual is something that could be less desired, and could be made better to understand. All of the pieces had little tiny stickers like A,B,C ETC....which listed the parts. However some of the stickers had fallen off, but looking at the manual you can see which parts they were. I started piecing them together. Come to find out some of the holes were not aligned properly, so I had to get trusty drill and make the holes a little bigger so the screws could fit. (Note the package comes with an allen wrench to screw everything in, but you will need a philips and flathead screwdriver). I am pretty handy but it took me about 1 1/2 hours to put this thing together after drilling, and trying to get the screws to fit. At the end the black board and dry erase board would not close only to come find out that the directions had the shelfs showing the wrong way in the pictures. I had to take everything apart and flip them around, and once I did that the black board and dry erase board closed properly! My daughter loves using it but however she needs either mommy or daddy's help, in lowering the dry erase board due to the knobs that lower it are very hard for little hands to pull out! The plastic bins are nice to hold items but the two little pieces of wood that hold them seem a little flimsy, and don't really hold the bins in place that well. For the price I would go with something else, Just waiting to see how long it lasts... Photos will be attached soon...When I saw this easel I thought it was perfect. Then we opened the box...several of the screw holes weren't even drilled and those that were didn't line up. We had to change out some hardware so it would open and close properly. Also, you can only use the whiteboard as a desktop, not easel. Love the storage however and now that it's together my 6 yr. Old daughter loves it.
Art Alternatives Paint Tray Palette, 10 Wells with Thumb Hole

First, this is indeed a very functional palette. I use is strictly for water colors but it could well be used for acrylics or any other water based paint. With the ten wells you have plenty of places to mix. The palette is extremely easy to wash and there is no stain carry-over that you so often find in this sort of product. It is light which makes it easy on the hand and is not overly burdensome when you pack it with your other gear. I like the fact as it is white as it allows me to see my colors better.
On the other hand, this palette is most certainly made for smaller hands. While my hands are not overly large, they are never-the -less not what you would call petite either. This, for me, is a bit of a problem. I use it of course, but to be frank it is a pretty tight fit. Of course I usually work setting down and normally have the thing placed on a table or work bench close by which is not a problem when used like this. These would be ideal for those with small hands and of course children.
There is also the cost consideration. When I first saw these on this site they were over six dollars apiece. Wow! If you did not have Amazon Prime or some such cost savings program, this was a bit steep. I see now that they are selling for $3.75. This is better. I paid $3.00 apiece for them at a local art supply store plus tax...it sort of all equaled out. If you have Amazon Prime or get a supersaver deal, then the price here is not all that bad. If you must pay shipping (I have no idea what that is) then you probably should check around a bit.
Functionally this is a nice item. Cost effectiveness here is a bit problematic. A few years ago I would not have been overly concerned with a couple of dollars here and there but to be honest, times are hard and ever dollar you save counts; at least it does for me. I suppose it all depend upon the availability of these in your neck of the woods and what your local dealer is asking.
My five star rating is more for the functionality of this item than anything else. I cannot be critical because of the size of my hands. (Hey, I held it before I bought it so I knew what I was getting. They potential buyer though on-line needs to be aware of this.

The OzarksI have small hands and this fits perfectly. It's big enough to hold all the paint I need it to. I would recommend it for someone who is just getting into painting.

The price of $6.79 for one of these palettes is ridiculous!!! I should have read closer, I thought I was buying 10 of them! These sell at art stores and other online vendors for $1-$2 each not almost $7.00!!! Please keep searching for similar items this price is absurd!!Read Best Reviews of Art Alternatives Paint Tray Palette, 10 Wells with Thumb Hole Here
This is a very nice little and very inexpensive palette. I bought ten of these at a local art shop and paid about on dollar more per palette than here.I give private art lessons, for the most part to children and young adults. These are an ideal size and I use them for my water color classes and acrylic. This smaller size is ideal for smaller hands. I have small hands myself so it works out great for me to.
These are extremely easy to clean. I make the kids clean up their own mess after we work and they have a much easier time cleaning these than the plates. Bowls and such I used before.
This was a good investment. I highly recommend this product.

If you want a nice, little palette for watercolor sketches or a quick, three-tone painting or something similar, this should do the trick. Other than that, you're going to need a much bigger palette. I usually use a palette with 20 wells and a large mixing space in the middle. I thought I might be able to use this one for smaller projects, but I guess I just use too much paint for this little guy.If you want a palette that fulfills all your painting needs, don't go for this one.

Purchase for my 6 year old grand daughter who loves art. The wood box is nice as it keeps everything together. Lots of variety. Nothing elaborate about this set, but a good one to start with for the price.I recently purchased this for my daughter. She was happy to finally get it since she had been waiting for it for quite a while. When she opened the case, everything looked fine, but when she tried to use the scissors, they broke and didn't even cut. The only way for them to work is to hold your hand in an uncomfortable way and it constantly breaks.
Next she tried the pens which worked fine, but when she got to the crayons, she tried one and it almost instantly broke in half. She wasn't holding it tightly or anything, just normally but it simply cracked.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who wants to keep an art set for longer than a day.

I was told by my nephew that I got him a very cool gift. He loved it. He loves to draw and is very good. I wanted to get him something for his birthday that would help him out with his drawing and apparently I did very good.Melissa & Doug Easel Paper Roll

Buy Melissa & Doug Easel Paper Roll Now
I really like the Melissa and Doug Easel, and this paper works perfectly and lasts a long time. My only reason for giving it four stars is that I wish it were a little more durable. Each time I rip off a sheet after my son has painted, it tears a little not a lot, mind you, but enough that it doesn't rip perfectly. I think this has something to do with the wetness of the paint causing the paper to buckle a little, putting stress on different places on the paper, causing it to not rip straight (unless you rip VERY slowly perhaps I'm too impatient!). Otherwise, great stuff my son loves it. This item was a gift at Christmas. The picture depicted twin rolls and that was what I expected only received one roll. With the shipping charges doubling the cost, I am not sure this was a good purchase, but it is needed with the easel I alo purchased. Maybe a visit to a local store to purchase the paper would have been a better option. Well first of all the rolls were larger then I thought which is a good thing since the cost was higher than I'd like to pay. My daughter loves drawing and though the rolls were wider then her eisel she just rips off a piece and clips it too her board and enjoys making large masterpieces.
